Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground chicken
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1 tablespoon ginger
  • 3 medium green onions
  • 1 can water chestnuts
  • 1 medium red bell pepper
  • 16 pieces iceberg or butter lettuce leaves
  • 1 medium carrot
  • 1 teaspoon sriracha sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper

Directions

Step 1

Finely chop the garlic, ginger, and green onions. Drain and chop the water chestnuts. Dice the red bell pepper and carrot into small pieces.

Step 2

Heat the sesame oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the garlic and ginger, and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.

Step 3

Add the ground chicken to the skillet and cook, breaking it apart with a spoon, until it is no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes.

Step 4

In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, and sriracha sauce.
